By mapping the many docking places, a former network that was of great importance to make many places accessible became visible. New infrastructures to serve the increasing speed of life have turned the majority of these ports functionless. Many of these ports have been abandoned because it is often unclear who they belong to or who manage them, ownership is a big question in many cases.

With this project we want to arise awareness about the excess of human impact on the natural landscape. Without interventions, these concrete slabs are useless scars in nature.

On the plus side, we are also convinced that these places can tell a story and have great potential; the network, the rhythm, the waterfront, ... On the one hand, we want to give nature a hand to heal and to reclaim the strange pieces and thus we want to use nature as a co-architect. On the other hand, we want to turn these concrete slabs into valuable places again, by reactivating them through an intervention.
